A slow adventure means being in one place long enough to make meaningful connections and conversations, absorbing and understanding our own paths. Slow travel is a time for personal awareness, turning into your own feelings, feeling at peace and setting your own goals.
On this Polar Night Journey, you will have the opportunity to experience the arctic in the most authentic way in northern Finland, in the wilderness. You will participate in some of the most iconic activities in Lapland and witness the pure magical energy it posses. In the evenings, as we gather around the fireplace, we will learn more about the Northern Light phenomena and what makes it so special. With you throughout your journey, you will have a Certified TJD Arctic Guide.
Your journey is about first in a lifetime experiences, especially during the polar nights. This is for those who appreciate learning new cultures, new experiences and familiarizing themselves with the arctic, surrounded by nature. It is for those who want to try something completely unique outside their comfort zone and trying out new culinary experiences.
Your accommodations are not large resorts, but small boutique family owned lodges built by the family in the most comfortable way.

This certification demonstrates that they have received extensive training and education in all aspects of Arctic travel, including wilderness survival, first aid, and environmental protection. In addition, our guides have gone through many Wilderness Medical Associates with medical rescue certifications.
