This journey will take place in northern Lapland, beyond the arctic circle.
A slow journey means being in one place long enough to make meaningful connections and conversations, absorbing and understanding our own paths. Slow travel is a time for personal awareness, turning into your own feelings, feeling at peace and setting your own goals.
On this retreat journey, you will have the opportunity to experience the arctic in the most authentic way in northern Finland, in the wilderness. You will participate in some of the most therapeutic activities in Lapland and witness the pure magical energy it posses.
Your journey is about taking time for yourself, especially during the polar nights. This journey is for those who are looking for a quiet space, adapt the pace of nature.
Your cabin is family owned, providing all the necessities, with skylights over your bed for the perfect viewing of northern lights.

TJD’s Arctic Guides are certified by Lapland University of Applied Science, a renowned institution in the field of Arctic studies. This certification demonstrates that they have received extensive training and education in all aspects of Arctic travel, including wilderness survival, first aid, and environmental protection. In addition, our guides have gone through many Wilderness Medical Associates with medical rescue certifications.
In addition, TJD guides have a wealth of practical experience in designing and leading tours in the Arctic, and are knowledgeable about the region’s flora, fauna, and cultural history. As certified guides, they are committed to providing their clients with a safe and enjoyable Arctic experience. TJD guides regularly review and update their safety procedures to ensure that they are prepared for any situation that may arise during an expedition.

This trip will take place in the northernmost town in lapland on a slow adventure journey. A slow adventure means being in one place long enough to make meaningful connections and conversations, absorbing and understanding our own paths. Slow travel is a time for personal awareness, turning into your own feelings, feeling at peace and setting your own goals.
On this Polar Night Journey, you will have the opportunity to experience the arctic in the most authentic way in northern Finland, in the wilderness. You will participate in some of the most iconic activities in Lapland and witness the pure magical energy it posses. In the evenings, as we gather around the fireplace, we will learn more about the Northern Light phenomena and what makes it so special. With you throughout your journey, you will have a Certified TJD Arctic Guide.
Your journey is about first in a lifetime experiences, especially during the polar nights. This is for those who appreciate learning new cultures, new experiences and familiarizing themselves with the arctic, surrounded by nature. It is for those who want to try something completely unique outside their comfort zone and trying out new culinary experiences.

Antarctica is a paddlers’ paradise. The White Continent boasts some of the world’s most impressive landscapes and is home to incredible marine wildlife. Sea Kayak Club members will have the opportunity to paddle through tranquil waters filled with glittering icebergs and porpoising penguins while surrounded by magnificent glaciers and mountains.
The protected and picturesque waters of the Antarctic Peninsula offer the best sea kayaking opportunities in Antarctica. Sea Kayak Club is also offered on selected voyages to South Georgia, where members may have the rare opportunity to encounter the island’s legendary abundance of wildlife from a kayaker’s perspective, if the area’s notoriously inclement weather permits.
